What’s Next?

Existing Market:

What is next for my product for my venture is securing the right supplier so that we can receive the correct herbs and spices in a sufficient quantity to begin developing the right drink proportions, and testing it to see the effects. Along with creating a brand image and logo so that the product will easily be recognizable and sellable in the future.

Based off of these expectations I feel that the most pressing issue is contacting a supplier, waiting for their responses, and ordering the right quantity in order to test combinations and proportions of my holistic alternative to caffeine. Plus what will be necessary of reaching out to professionals and experts in the field I am trying to enter to ensure that I am getting everything right and stick to the course of action that I have been trying to take since the beginning of this course. This would, I believe, to be the best course of action to take for my opportunity and venture in order to set the foundation for what is to come in the future once this project gets past the planning stages.

In addition, I hope to get the supplier and panel of experts in the field relatively soon, of course depending on the future of the pandemic, so that I can begin to make the product and the art work and labeling associated with it. In order to disperse it to a few people who will taste test it and offer their critiques so that I can improve upon the taste or quality of the beverage I plan to create. Finally, once all this is completing I hope to send the idea out to market and see feedback from the masses.

New Market:

Different market: avid coffee/ caffeine consumers

People in this market might see it as creating competition for those that enjoy caffeine in their industry. Yet might create value by putting more into a campaign to boost caffeine or coffee sales in the market and demographic I am targeting.

This different market is more attractive to the one that I am in now because many people rather just drink coffee or caffeinated drinks rather than trying an alternative because of establish brands and the taste and quality of their favorite beverages. It will be rather difficult to compete with this group because of brand loyalty and the USA already being accustomed to coffee as a primary source of caffeine.

However, I am optimistic because there are always people looking to try something new or those that cannot ingest caffeine for various reasons. I hope that my product will be able to stand out from my competitors in the market I am targeting and the vastly different market that has such a hold on the populace.

  2. Hey Austin,
It is good that you are aware of what you need for your current market. I like how you are focusing on the social aspect of your venture capital idea so that you are easily recognizable. I also liked how you are trying to try out the new market, which is one that is competitive, but fortune favors the brave. Keep up the good work!
